Social Media Day

Social Media Day - June 30

Social Media Day LA 2010 celebrates the integration of social media, education, and business in Los Angeles.

Social media has changed our lives. It has not only changed the way we communicate, but the way we connect with one another, consume our news, conduct our work, organize our lives, and much more. So why not celebrate? We have answered the call to action and are assembling at the heart of LA — Culver City — on June 30, 2010 to unite our fellow Angelenos to toast the information revolution and what it can do for education!

Please join us for an evening of festivities and fundraising! Proceeds from the event will benefit Hollywood Arts,  a one-of-a-kind arts academy for homeless and foster care young people located in the heart of Hollywood. The Center offers classes in media, music and the commercial arts—giving young people a chance to learn about a variety of creative activities, sharpen their thinking skills and prepare them for jobs in the creative industries.

The event is being organized by two leading businesses in Los Angeles — The Rainmaker Network, a service that helps university students prepare for life after college, and Unicorn Press, a boutique communications studio.
